Maths, reasoning and investigations!

In maths we have been doing lots of reasoning and investigative work.

One of the challenges was to complete this multiplication grid, using only the clues given.

Here are some facts you need to know:

  1. The numbers 2 -12 were used to generate it
  2. One of these numbers have been used twice

We all enjoyed the ‘reasoning around’ rounding activity.
We had to create decimal numbers to 1 and 2 decimal places (using dice), then decide carefully where to round our number in order to WIN the circle – lots of reasoning!

During ‘fraction week’ we learnt how to find fractions of quantities so we could prove:

We have also been learning about ‘factors’ using graffiti maths – we got to write on our tables using any pen or pencils we wanted.
