Children should be encouraged to join sporting clubs out of school hours. It is of high importance that children engage with physical activity as the benefits play a huge factor in their early development enhancing their health, confidence, resilience, whilst also preventing the risk of disease.
Over the years at Heaton Park we have had children represent the Borough at the Greater Manchester school games, former pupils become professional footballers and children represent at county level in swimming.
We have put together a list of local sporting contacts we hope you will find useful along with contacts for holiday clubs.
